Overview
Senior Satellite Systems Engineer - Clearance Required at Lockheed Martin Space. This role requires a TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph and involves 24x7 rotating shifts supporting program activities. Candidates should have experience in spacecraft operations and mission support, and be prepared to participate in a formal training program and certification process. Responsibilities
Conduct and lead mission/program-specific operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases. Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics and performance analysis. Provide technical direction for mission support and plan for critical activities. Collaborate with different organizations and sites to implement efforts across the IC, including resiliency test and tactics development and ops development. During initial training, learn the system and support tools creation, data analysis, and maintenance as needed. Lead a small shift team during rotating shifts. Basic Qualifications
Experience or understanding of spacecraft operations. Experience supporting critical operations. Experience in any of these engineering functions:
System integration Planning Software testing System modeling or analysis
TS/SCI with Poly Desired Skills
Experience establishing customer intimacy. Problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work across sites. Experience with astrodynamics and orbital mechanics including classical orbital (Keplerian) elements. Understanding of satellite maneuver tools/techniques. Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with MATLAB, SQL, HTML, Python, UNIX/Linux. Employment Details
