Kelly Engineering is hiring a Packaging Engineer for a well-established global company in the pharmaceutical and consumer self-care industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based on performance and business needs.
In this hybrid role (3 days/week onsite), you’ll support packaging development for personal care and Women’s Health products—working cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, project managers, and external suppliers. You’ll lead packaging initiatives from concept through execution, developing smart, sustainable packaging solutions that meet both consumer and manufacturing demands.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop and test new packaging formats, with a heavy focus on line trials and documentation
Manage relationships with vendors and contract manufacturersto ensure timely delivery and component quality
Create and update packaging specifications, drawings, and die lines using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ArtiosCAD
Collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, and project managers to align packaging with product and brand goals
Support packaging tooling development and execution (e.g., thermoform, heat seal)
Ensure packaging meets regulatory, quality, and sustainability requirements Why This Role Is Unique: Direct involvement in line trials, mock-ups, distribution testing, and IQ/OQ/PQ validation

2+ years of packaging experience (or less with a Master’s degree)
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, tooling, and production processes
Skilled in packaging software (TOPS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
Familiar with ASTM/ISTA testing, FMEA, DOE, and process validation
