Overview
Join Royal Electric Company in a role that supports proposal development, coordination, and marketing efforts across the organization. Location options include Sacramento, CA; Long Beach, CA; or Dallas, TX. Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), including scheduling, technical writing, content gathering, collaboration, editing, design, and final production. Develop and articulate clear differentiators that position the firm for successful proposal outcomes; ensure proposals have a consistent, unified voice. Coordinate with subcontractors/subconsultants for all necessary materials; finalize case studies/project profiles and update team resumes; create interview slide decks. Attend and participate in all proposal kickoffs to align on win themes and proposal contents; review, edit, and refine proposals and other marketing materials for grammar, clarity, and strategy. Ensure proposal packages are compliant, responsive, competitive, and compelling; oversee proposal schedules and ensure submissions are completed with sufficient lead time; maintain workload balance among staff. Oversee the debrief process by collecting client feedback, facilitating internal reviews, and capturing lessons learned to continually improve proposal strategies and outcomes. Support continuous improvement of proposal processes and provide mentorship on proposal standards, writing, and formatting best practices. Other Marketing Support
Oversee development and maintenance of marketing materials and the marketing library to ensure accuracy and brand consistency; support awards package submittals, client presentations, and Salesforce updates. Collaborate with teams to meet organizational vision and goals. Requirements
Education & Experience
5+ years of marketing experience in the construction industry with extensive experience in proposal coordination. Extensive experience navigating all phases of publicly funded procurement, from solicitation to award. Experience in senior-level proposal, marketing, or business development coordination, including leading or overseeing proposal efforts. Experience managing proposals for alternative delivery procurements (e.g., CMAR and Design-Build). Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, mass communication, English, or related field preferred. Required Skills & Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign preferred). Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to craft strategic content edits that elevate the firm’s position in competitive pursuits. Ability to create copy for marketing materials containing technical data and project descriptions. Strong multi-project prioritization and collaboration with team members, leaders, and clients. Analytical and problem-solving skills; graphic design skills a plus. Safety & Physical Requirements
Must wear proper PPE on jobsites and comply with safety standards and procedures. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the duration of the workday; lift up to 15 pounds." Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr We offer competitive wages plus benefits and 401(k).
