Overview
STV's Dallas, Texas location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Technology Senior Engineer for our Water Practice Group. STV specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities. Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. As a Process Engineer, you will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform design engineering tasks to support the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities
Production of contract documents including plans and specifications. Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations. Demonstrated experience with advanced treatment systems including chemical feed, membranes, and disinfection systems. Process modeling for wastewater treatment and resource recovery systems for biosolids, energy, and nutrient management. Prepare construction and design cost estimates. Perform engineering duties in planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, storage, and treatment systems. Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects. Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation. Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents. Skills and Experience
Bachelor's/Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required. TX PE is required. Experience in water and wastewater systems is required. Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies. Ability to work and communicate well with other design disciplines. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus. Compensation
