Physical Office Location: PEC Headquarters - 201 S Ave F, Johnson City or Leander, TX 78636.

Hybrid Work Options Available; this position can report to either our Johnson City Headquarters or Leander, TX facilities.

Salary: $98,640.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits. Qualifications may warrant greater starting pay within the full range. Base pay is determined by experience, skills, and education.

Position Summary This role involves routine technical work and applying established techniques under supervision to support the Cooperative's Strategic Initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Review and evaluate substation physical, protection, and control design.

Operate engineering software and equipment.

Prepare and analyze technical drawings and specifications.

Perform detailed calculations for standards and specifications.

Discuss projects with engineers and clients.

Investigate and resolve customer or public complaints.

Manage small substation projects' design and construction.

Develop strategies to maximize software utilization.

Study technical data for product and process specifications.

Research technical specifications.

Review activities for compliance with standards and codes.

Coordinate with planning for transmission system development.

Prepare procurement specifications.

Report project progress to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

Perform engineering computations and analysis.

Prepare drawings, maps, and specifications.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Stay updated on technological advances.

Demonstrate punctuality and attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency with computer systems and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Strong presentation and reporting skills.

Knowledge of construction materials and project management.

Effective communication skills.

Time management and prioritization skills.

Ability to resolve conflicts and problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.

18 months of related experience and Engineer in Training Certification OR

Postgraduate engineering degree OR

Four years of related work experience.

Valid Driver's License.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Must meet physical requirements such as standing, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and travel. May require working over 40 hours per week.
