Overview
Manufacturing Engineer, CNC, Special Projects at Hadrian. Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships faster and cheaper through a combination of software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing. We are hiring for a Factory-as-a-Service team that analyzes customer production and supply chain challenges, designs and scopes factories of the future, and supports partnerships with the Federal and Strategic sales teams. Responsibilities
Oversee drawing reviews, CapEx planning, and automation feedback for CNC as part of the Factories as a Service team. Lead the CNC scoping, design, planning, and automation feedback across all material types and configurations. Review drawings for manufacturability, select CapEx for part numbers and assemblies, advise the automation team on CNC best practices, and apply deep knowledge of production and inspection methods for CNC. Contribute to building new factories for existing production scope and improve manufacturing processes for new products where CNC is a designed-in function. Analyze drawings at a technical level and plan CNC lines or factories from scratch. What You’ll Do
Analyze customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of CNC DFM, production, and inspection lines. Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts. Deliver cost, schedule, and solutions in partnership with customers and the Federal team. Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing. What We’re Looking For
Subject matter expert with deep expertise in CNC production and inspection. Ability to travel approximately 25% to DOD and prime facilities. Capability to lead 1-2 CNC MEs. Able to analyze DFM and design/plan production and inspection lines for CNC. Prior experience standing up new CNC lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains. Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions. What Will Set You Apart
