dormakaba Americas Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II based in its Reamstown, PA manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for optimizing CNC machining processes, reducing cycle times, and driving continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The role involves leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across machining and assembly operations, implementing SMED techniques to reduce changeover times, designing and optimizing fixturing solutions, and providing hands-on support to resolve process bottlenecks and technical issues. Salary Range : $90,000 - $105,000, determined by education, experience, skills, and market data. Visit our career site for benefits details. What You Will Do Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers used in door automation systems and industrial components; troubleshoot programs, tooling, and equipment issues Collaborate with machinists and operators to improve setup efficiency, reduce cycle times, ensure consistent quality, and support lean activities Interpret complex drawings and GD&T to create efficient machining strategies and tool paths Support new product introductions with CNC programming and first article inspections Train operators and technicians on CNC updates, best practices, and new equipment What We Require 5+ years in manufacturing and assembly processes Experience with SolidWorks, DraftSight, technical drawing analysis, and GD&T Background in CNC machining, including machine tools, fixturing, G-code, and CAM software Knowledge and experience in LEAN processes Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting speeds, tool selection, and chip control What We Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing disciplines Exposure to ESPRIT or CAMWorks Black Belt or Green Belt Certification What We Offer Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance Wellness programs, vacation, parental leave, 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, career development, LinkedIn Learning access, employee assistance, legal insurance, referral bonuses, discounts Why Join dormakaba?
