John Zink . John Zink, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Controls Engineer for our R&D Test Facility in Tulsa, OK. Our state-of-the-art test facility conducts performance tests and demonstrations of technologies such as burners, flares, and thermal oxidizers before shipment. It also serves for innovation and testing of new technologies in international refining, petro-chemical, and power generation markets. The role involves electrical design, testing, commissioning, and startup of electrical components including motors, valves, actuators, transmitters, emission monitoring equipment, recorders, and PLCs. Programming and modifying PLCs, HMIs, PID controllers, VFDs, and other control devices are essential responsibilities. Responsibilities

Manage control engineering projects from start to finish PLC programming and setup of control components Design and automate control systems Test and commission control systems Collaborate with technicians and clients Requirements

Experience with PLC programming Ability to read and create technical documents like P&ID and electrical schematics Familiarity with 480 VAC 3-phase systems following NFPA 70 standards Legal authorization to work permanently in the US without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering At least 5 years of experience with industrial electrical and control equipment Experience with electrical/control panel design and troubleshooting Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards Experience with platforms like Allen Bradley PLC or Wonderware/Indusoft Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Background in controls and instrumentation in combustion and emissions industries At Koch, we value diversity and are committed to equal opportunity employment.
