Overview
Faculty Medical Physicists have the predominant responsibility of advancing the academic vision and mission of the Moffitt Cancer Center and the Department of Radiation Oncology by active participation in clinical care, educational programs and innovative research. It is also expected that faculty members will pursue independent, investigator-initiated research. Faculty members perform clinical activities such as quality assurance, comprehensive continuing quality improvement, development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety, clinical translation of new technology and assisting in the physics and dosimetry aspects of clinical trials. All team members must work effectively and collegially with the entire medical staff (physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nurses, etc.). Responsibilities
Engage in clinical care, education, and research aligned with the academic mission of Moffitt Cancer Center and the Department of Radiation Oncology Conduct quality assurance, ongoing quality improvement, and development/implementation of policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety Support clinical translation of new technology and assist in the physics and dosimetry aspects of clinical trials Collaborate effectively with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nurses, and other staff Minimum Qualifications
