A growing, design‑focused general contractor based in Texas is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader who takes pride in delivering high‑quality commercial projects with precision, collaboration, and professionalism.
About the Role The Superintendent will oversee daily on‑site operations, managing field coordination, subcontractors, safety, and schedule execution from groundbreaking through closeout. Projects typically range from $500K to $15M and include a mix of interior build‑outs and ground‑up construction across commercial, light industrial, and multifamily markets. An upcoming project includes a PEMB (Pre‑Engineered Metal Building) addition to a light industrial facility. Roughly 20% of the work is multifamily, with the other 80% falling into the commercial sector, offering plenty of diversity and a strong pipeline regardless of market trends.
Responsibilities
Lead all on‑site construction activities and manage day‑to‑day field operations
Maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with plans and specs
Oversee safety, quality control, and site logistics
Partner with Project Managers, architects, and owners to keep communication open and clear
Anticipate field challenges and proactively resolve issues
Ensure smooth project closeout and client satisfaction
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial and/or light industrial construction
Both Ground‑Up and Interiors experience preferred
Familiarity with multifamily construction a plus
Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills
Proficiency in Procore or similar construction management software
OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
