We are seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to join our manufacturing team in Louisville, KY. This role is focused on driving process control and automation across our plant, ensuring safety, reliability and OEE improvements. The position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Responsibilities
Lead capital projects using a project management life cycle; develop RFQs, scopes of work, cost estimates and justifications. Design, implement and maintain control cabinet layouts, PLC logic, HMI graphics and wiring schematics for rolling mill control systems. Support commissioning, I/O checkouts, IP addressing and networking of PLCs, HMIs, PCs and third‑party devices. Participate in FAT/SAT, turnover package reviews and maintain accurate project documentation. Lead, coach and influence a team of technical resources; conduct FMEAs, RCA and safety taproots. Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations to prioritize plant performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering; ABET accredited. 5+ years of plant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ABB and Siemens DCS, Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLCs. Experience with FactoryTalk and Wonderware InTouch HMI programming; TCP/IP, Ethernet, ControlNet and DeviceNet networking. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical information to non‑technical audiences. Desired – Ice‑On‑The‑Cake
Master’s degree or advanced degree. Experience with rolling mill, coil processing or sheet/strip handling equipment controls. ABB DCS experience and process data acquisition software proficiency. Benefits
