Lead design of embedded electrical systems for complex surgical devices Select and integrate sensors, actuators, and other critical components for optimal performance and manufacturability Architect high-performance, low-power electronics, including mixed-signal and microcontroller-based systems Define and improve best practices for documentation and design traceability Design and develop PCBs (rigid, flex, and rigid-flex), motor control systems, and embedded systems Drive design verification, validation, and automated testing of electrical assemblies and systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, product) to ensure system-level integration and compliance Support fielded products through well-documented troubleshooting and design updates Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field 3+ years of full-time professional experience in embedded systems hardware design, preferably in a regulated industry Strong knowledge of design documentation practices (e.g., DHF, risk, traceability, test protocols) Proficiency in schematic capture, board layout, mixed-signal circuit design, and microcontroller-based system development Familiarity with FDA design control requirements and product lifecycle documentation Experience supporting medical devices in the field Knowledge of IEC 60601 and other relevant electrical/medical standards Experience improving document management systems and change control processes Self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to innovate Strong attention to detail (hint: Answer to the mystery question is 23. Bonus: FPGA design experience (VHDL/Verilog), simulation, synthesis, and timing optimization for medical or similarly high-reliability systems Voluntary Self-Identification
