Maintenance Planner

Description: The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in supporting plant reliability and efficiency by coordinating maintenance activities, managing work orders, and ensuring timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to grow in industrial maintenance planning within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Assigning new work to various planning and maintenance teams, daily.
Assist in developing and maintaining preventive and demand maintenance schedules for equipment and utilities.
Create, update, and close work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production staff, and vendors to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, parts usage, and equipment downtime.
Support inventory management of spare parts and tools.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).
Essential Skills
Strong organizational and project management skills. The position requires the management of multiple complex work projects with many variations in labor, contracts, purchasing, and technical planning.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or utility systems.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Planner, PowerBI, Loop, and OneNote).
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams quickly and concisely.
Attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
