Overview
H&H has an opportunity for a Highway Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale or Orlando, FL. The successful candidate will prepare and manage tasks associated with highway designs for a variety of project types, from preliminary concepts to final construction plans. H&H is seeking a candidate who demonstrates good engineering judgement, takes initiative, and is eager to work on challenging projects. Responsibilities
Utilize 3D design to prepare roadway, drainage and Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) designs, calculations and drawings Propose innovative solutions to design problems Prepare engineering reports Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers Serve as the Engineer-of-Record Responsible for task management Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies Present proposed design solutions in internal project meetings and with external parties Mentor and contribute to the development of other team members Qualifications
Four+ years of experience Professional Engineer (PE) license desired or to be obtained within six months of hire Proficiency in OpenRoads processes Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis Benefits
