"You're never wrong if you do the right thing" Mark Twain ifm is seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing organization. This Sales Engineer position is based in our Charlotte office and is responsible for existing and new customer relationships throughout eastern North Carolina. Your relationship skills, strong business acumen, and technical expertise will be paramount in working with automation machine builders and manufacturing plants to define process improvements that improve their bottom-line results.
Job Responsibilities
Engage with customers and potential customers to learn about their business, the products they make, and the initiatives they have for improvement.
Implement a sales process that clearly defines the customer's challenge and their concept for a solution.
Be adept at determining the decision-making process and key stakeholders involved in a sale.
Leverage technical product and application knowledge to provide high quality solutions to automation challenges.
Effectively communicate with customers using multiple methods: on-site visits, virtual meetings and phone calls.
Work in a team selling environment to leverage expertise across the organization.
Energetically approach new business and prospecting to develop future growth.
Continuously learn automation industry trends and ifm solutions that relate to those trends.
Position largely measured on sales and new customer growth.
Candidate Requirements
3 to 7 years of related technical sales experience preferred.
Engineering or Business degree preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within an organization.
Ability to sell in remote or face-to-face situations.
Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
Ability to work with various teams as well as independently.
