Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Epic Client Systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Design, develop, and customize MyChart web applications, including patient portal enhancements and user interface improvements. Provide Tier 2/3 support for MyChart-related issues, ensuring seamless user experiences for patients and providers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MyChart with other Epic modules and third-party systems, ensuring interoperability and data consistency. Configure and optimize MyChart features such as patient messaging, appointment scheduling, and telehealth capabilities. Develop training materials and guide clinicians and administrative staff on MyChart functionality. Ensure MyChart and Epic systems comply with HIPAA and other healthcare standards, implementing robust security measures. Lead or contribute to MyChart-related projects, including upgrades, new feature rollouts, and system enhancements. Skills
Expertise in Epic MyChart web development and customization. Strong Epic system administration skills, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Inpatient, or Cadence is a plus. Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for MyChart customization. Experience with Epic Interconnect, Web Services, and system interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR). Database management experience (SQL, Cache). Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Epic ECSA or similar role. Proven experience in MyChart web development, system support, and integration. Qualification and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. Epic ECSA certification required. Epic MyChart certification strongly preferred.
