Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments including Quality, Engineering, and Production to ensure high-quality manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
Hours 5:30 AM - 2 PM (flexible start time no later than 6:30 AM)
Responsibilities
Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical systems.
Perform diagnostics and repair on customer-returned products, ensuring readiness for return shipment.
Interface with multiple teams, including quality assurance, engineering, production, and assembly staff.
Review documentation and sub-assemblies to propose improvements in work instructions and manufacturing processes.
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to implement process improvements.
Collect, analyze, and interpret small-scale test data; create reports, tables, and graphs to communicate findings.
Deliver one-on-one or group trainings to assembly teams as required.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
Lift and handle materials up to 25 pounds; maintain good vision aptitude for detailed assembly tasks.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
Experience with production floor support, work instructions, and non-conformance handling.
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to work across multiple teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfortable using computers and internal software systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Comfortable working in group settings and explaining technical concepts patiently.
Skills
Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly and troubleshooting.
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and improving work instructions.
Strong diagnostic and repair abilities for production and returned systems.
Excellent communicator with experience in cross-functional collaboration and training.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data reporting using Excel and internal systems.
Education
Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent certification in a relevant technical field.
