A Day In The Life

Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules

Develop schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion

Serve as Business Manager for ColonialWebb on construction projects

Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager to procure materials, equipment and subcontracts

Manage submittals, operations and maintenance documents, and closeout processes

Negotiate change orders with customers and manage the change order process

Review RFIs and responses to determine scope of impact

Provide information to the project team to support design, fabrication, and project execution

Interpret project specifications and make decisions on equipment, materials and subcontractors

Assist project Superintendents and supervise Assistant Project Managers/Project Engineers

Ensure regular and timely project meetings for successful completion

Own project forecasts for revenue, cost-to-complete, and expected gross profit

Oversee estimates for equipment, materials and subcontractors; secondary focus on labor and other costs

You Should Have

Minimum of five years of commercial/industrial project management experience

Hands-on management experience on projects with a scope exceeding $10M

Ability to manage the continuous flow of material and labor for large projects lasting a year or more

Electrical trade knowledge

OSHA 30-hour certification and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

Ability to work diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers

Ability to demonstrate foresight and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
