International of San Antonio is seeking a

Senior Controls Engineer

to interface with fellow engineers, maintenance and production staff to support production on our Truck Assembly Line. Responsibilities include day-to-day production support, process improvements, design and implementation of controls systems, network, and power distribution for current assembly lines.

The San Antonio facility runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM).

This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provide cross functional troubleshooting support to production lines. Evaluates, selects, and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. Oversees the development, installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. May instruct, coach, or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree At least 2 years of product manufacturing experience

OR

Master’s degree

OR

At least 4 years of product manufacturing experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

Experience with the following - Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley PLC’s Experience with the following vision systems- Keyence, and Cognex Experience with setting up and modifying SQL databases Experience with Ignition SCADA system Prior experience with MES (manufacturing execution systems) controls Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
