Roadway Engineer-in-Training - Transportation Market

Responsibilities
Assist in designing roadway projects including coordination with traffic, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental considerations.
Contribute to the development of engineering reports, plans and specifications for major and minor projects.
Prepare and review preliminary and final plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates; make recommendations for additions, deletions, or substitutions as needed.
Communicate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others; assist in resolving complex problems such as conflicting design requirements or coordination challenges.
Apply standard office practices and procedures; learn state and firm policies and procedures (e.g., Georgia Department of Transportation systems).
Demonstrate knowledge of engineering principles and AASHTO guidelines; proficiency with MicroStation V8i and InRoads is desirable but not required.
Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and maintain strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships; work independently on multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
0-2 years of roadway design experience.
EIT certification is preferred.
