Field Engineer II, Electrical Construction (East Coast). Primary and lead engineer on the Project, reporting to the Project Manager. Lead field-level and office-level engineering activities, with emphasis on health and safety leadership, quality workmanship, and professional/ethical engineering work. Roles include contract administration, project planning and scheduling, project reporting, and advisory support for contractual, legal, and other project issues. District & Company

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC), a subsidiary of the Kiewit Corporation. MEC specializes in electrical projects requiring technical and logistical skill within the industrial market. Location: Various Locations. Responsibilities

Field Engineering: interpret drawings and specifications for field crews; perform quantity calculations and measurements; assist in work plans, work packages, field surveying, layout support, elevation control points, as-built data; assist with daily labor timesheets; assist in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA); participate in jobsite safety reviews and safety meetings; order and schedule material deliveries; plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site work groups; supervise field operations. Office Engineering: perform material takeoffs; conduct basic engineering calculations and drafting to support field ops; assist in gathering data for submittals to customers, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use; assist in purchase orders/subcontracts and minor solicitations; assist schedule maintenance and project recordkeeping (daily reports, RFIs, memorandums); assist with data entry into the job cost system and review cost reports with site management; assist in generating change orders and as-built data for PM review; provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations. Estimating: assist in analyzing historical data for bids; review plans/specs for assigned projects, identify risk areas; complete material and quantity takeoffs per bid documents. Qualifications

3+ years of construction field experience Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field Ability to travel and relocate as needed Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specs, and contract documents Ability to access all points of a construction site in varying climates and environments Strong ethics, integrity, and safety mindset; proactive attitude and initiative Strong work ethic and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; team player with ability to work independently to meet deadlines Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Other Requirements

Regular, reliable attendance; meet deadlines; communicate professionally with supervisors and team Perform work safely and follow instructions and policies; travel to various locations and work overtime/weekends as required Possess flexibility to work in different locations and conditions Compensation & Benefits

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $105,000/yr (actual compensation varies with education, experience, skillset, and location).
