This individual will work exclusively for Turner's Advanced Technology Group, including Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segments. This position can be performed remotely from any location in the United States.
Position Description Overall responsibility for the preconstruction process from project inception through start of construction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage Business Unit Estimating department and functions during preconstruction.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback for team members.
Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents; communicate risks to senior management.
Manage lump sum bids and review for approval.
Conduct market research for upcoming work.
Oversee development of General Conditions/Requirements estimates.
Maintain estimating data and develop cost trends.
Manage Value Engineering during preconstruction.
Collaborate on proposals and client presentations.
Evaluate procurement schedules and subcontractor proposals.
Support project scheduling, meetings, and constructability reviews.
Develop and execute Pull Plans with Lean Manager.
Prepare variance analyses and manage budget control reports.
Lead Target Value Design processes as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, with 10+ years of experience.
Experience with various building types.
Understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Strong analytical, management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of regional market and industry trends.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Includes sitting, using hands, reaching, viewing monitors, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at construction sites with associated risks. Office work is typical, with occasional site visits.
