Bridge Inspection Engineer
to join our team. This position can be filled in Jacksonville, Orlando, or Tampa.
Bridge Inspection Engineer Responsibilities
Lead teams of Professional Engineers, Engineers-In-Training, and Technicians inspecting bridges of all sizes across Florida with opportunities for project work and travel across the country.
Collaborate with field inspection teams to develop inspection schedules, prioritize urgent inspections, and allocate resources efficiently.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDOT and federal inspection protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Perform design calculations and load rating of existing bridges.
Provide guidance and training to bridge inspection team members, including junior inspectors and technicians.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering program.
2+ years of bridge inspection engineering experience.
Engineer Intern registration required. Professional Engineer preferred.
NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection Courses and/or SPRAT Certification desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD and/or MicroStation required.
AASHTOWare, BrM, or other Bridge Inspection & Design/Rating software experience is preferred.
A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history and ability to travel on project-related tasks in the region and nationwide.
Good communication skills and ability to work with clients in either the public or private sector.
Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. of gear and capable of high levels of physical exertion.
