Electrical Engineer role at Anduril Industries. This position supports the Maritime team, working with program leadership and cross-department teams to solve hard problems and help build the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). What You'll Do
Full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision or completion, bring-up, test, debug and system integration Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools Develop payloads and subsystems (sensors, payload interfaces, power management, networking) Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting electronic equipment within a subsystem Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments and customer-operated hardware Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews Design and support the integration and testing of an AUV system through TRLs 3-8 Conduct vehicle platform system design & analysis as required by your supported program Perform design reviews, requirements analysis, and plan system verification to ensure project goals and industry standards Work with a multidisciplinary engineering team throughout the life of product design, integration, and test Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and circuits Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and test automation Familiarity with interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB Familiarity with MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies Familiarity with software development processes/tools (git, Github, JIRA) Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred; Eagle and others acceptable) Experience in design for signal integrity / power integrity Experience with battery systems and supporting alternative battery designs Experience with high-reliability systems and RF-based systems Experience with rapid payload/sensor integration and designing/integrating high-power electronics Experience in fieldable system design Ability to conduct worst-case circuit or uncertainty analysis High ownership and bias toward action Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance Ability to travel 25% with potential surges above 25% Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing electrical and power systems for autonomous underwater vehicles Experience with battery systems (primary and secondary chemistries) Understanding of MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-810G Compensation & Benefits
US Salary Range: $120,000—$180,000 USD.
