Overview

Skanska is searching for a dynamic Proposal Manager for heavy civil construction. This role leads multi-disciplinary pursuit teams in developing qualifications, technical proposals, and presentation materials for design-build and other alternative delivery procurements. The Proposal Manager directs and QC’s the work of technical, proposal and graphics staff from Skanska, joint venture partner firms, design partners, and third-party consultants to ensure on-time, compliant, and compelling submittals. The role champions Skanska’s proposal best practices, mentors junior staff, and guides staff through the proposal process. Responsibilities also include development and production of marketing and business development collateral and maintaining databases of project, personnel, and corporate information used to support these efforts. The Proposal Manager analyzes information independently and exercises discretion in creating proposal documents. Proposal Manager Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience managing proposals in construction and/or engineering in a similar capacity. Experience managing design-build and other Alternative Delivery pursuits. Proficiency in desktop publishing, presentation, and marketing software including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office, SharePoint, FTP sites, and video conferencing/sharing. Strong writing, proofreading, and editing capabilities; experience with technical writing in an engineering environment is preferred. Leadership ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management within Skanska and with partner firms. Four-year degree in Business or Technical field, or equivalent experience in construction/engineering in a similar capacity is desired. Active membership in SMPS and/or APMP is desired.
