Location Description
The Asheboro, NC plant features modern cereal production technology and has quadrupled in size since 2007. It employs over 230 team members producing innovative cereals like Oreo O's. Asheboro is conveniently located near the Atlantic Ocean and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to perform mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Support and maintain food safety and quality practices as per SQF standards.
Complete job duties supporting plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices.

Work Schedule
5:30 PM - 5:50 AM
2-2-3 schedule with built-in overtime and every other weekend off: Week one: 2 days on - 2 days off - 3 days on; Week two: 2 days off - 2 days on - 3 days off
Plan and direct the work of the shift maintenance crew
Coordinate maintenance activities and contractors
Support production across the facility
Create work orders and preventive maintenance schedules
Troubleshoot equipment issues
Ensure a safe work environment
Identify and resolve operational problems
Maintain accurate records
Encourage suggestions for improvement
Keep supervisor informed of issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1-2 years vocational training in maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine shop, electricity, electronics, and programmable computers; licenses preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in plant maintenance including mechanical, electrical, and electronic repair
Combination of education and experience; associate degree or technical certificate preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn computerized maintenance management system
Knowledge of fluid power, industrial electricity, PLCs, welding, robotics, and safety regulations
Ability to supervise personnel fairly and effectively
Problem recognition and resolution skills
