As the Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving electrical reliability issues across the mill. You’ll collaborate closely with the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance teams, Mill Leadership, Production, Corporate Reliability (EMS), third-party contractors (OEMs, consultants), and internal subject matter experts to enhance the safety and performance of electrical assets. You will also support outage planning and execution as needed. Key Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical electrical systems and equipment. Oversee systems including power generation and distribution, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, low/high voltage motors and starters, UPS systems, VFDs/soft starters, actuators, grounding systems, lighting, cathodic protection, and portable electrical equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety and reliability concerns related to electrical infrastructure. Provide technical guidance to improve equipment reliability through evaluation, redesign, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Lead initiatives to enhance the integrity of low, medium, and high voltage installations and systems. Support and develop training programs for maintenance and operations personnel focused on safe and reliable electrical practices. Lead or assist in root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, including reporting, recommendations, and follow-up actions. Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PDM) strategies to ensure equipment reliability and availability. Assist in planning and executing electrical scopes during outages and shutdowns. Drive long-term continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing electrical reliability. Participate in weekend on-call support on a rotating basis. Stay current with industry standards and best practices, including NEC and NFPA 70E. Lead cold mill outage efforts, including temporary power setup and execution. Troubleshoot and maintain synchronous motors. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of safe electrical work practices and industry codes. Proficiency in three-phase electrical systems, AC/DC motors, motor controls, and protection schemes. Familiarity with instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Passport, JDE). Preferred experience in relay coordination, arc flash hazard analysis, and short circuit studies. What We Offer
