Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player to conduct field evaluations of industrial structures, analyze data, develop models, conduct calculations, and develop engineered rehabilitation/replacement plans. Job Duties/Responsibilities
Support field evaluation of existing structures Develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete Design rehabilitation and/or replacement plans Specify materials, write reports Technical support for and quality control of structural construction Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering Experience: Min Yr = 0 Max Yr = 3+ Licensure: E.I.T. Preferred Technical Skills: Familiarity with modelling software such as STAAD required Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, IBC required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred. Other Qualifications
Management: No management experience required Other Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional Development Opportunities
Work under licensed P.E.’s and S.E.’s to progress towards professional licensure Exposure to fieldwork environments in various industrial facilities Develop greater expertise in calculations and analytical models for concrete & steel Exposure to root cause failure analysis techniques Obtain industry and skill-specific certifications Develop expertise in a variety of design and analytical programs Field Assignment Requirements
Individual field assignments typically each have their own unique requirements. Before deployment, you must be able to meet all client-specific site requirements. If you cannot or will not meet assignment-specific requirements, continued employment would be subject to the availability of other assignments that can be met. These requirements may include: Physical mobility (on the ground and at heights) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and potentially work off platforms/scaffolding with fall protection Ability to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE Ability to work in confined spaces Adherence to a client’s random drug testing program prior to site entry Adherence to a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to site entry Equal Opportunity / Compliance
