Global Sourcing Manager – Kaemark Manufacturing Kaemark is a large industry leader in commercial millwork manufacturing located in Giddings, Texas that has been in business for over 50 years. Giddings is a small town conveniently located in central Texas. We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Global Sourcing Manager to oversee the global sourcing, negotiation and acquisition of material equipment and services to support our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and manufacturing needs.

Achieve material and working capital reduction targets through systematic opportunity identification and cross functional project implementation, improve supplier performance, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Build, measure, and manage a reliable supplier base using quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability criteria through the development of a comprehensive supplier scorecard.

Identify new suppliers to achieve the company’s business and operational strategy.

Own all supplier relationships, supported through regular in-person meetings, including business reviews with overseas suppliers on a scheduled basis.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews in the form of a vendor scorecard.

Work closely with product development to identify and select best supplier options for all new products.

Purchasing Operations:

Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process for global supplier base from establishing quality standards, requirements planning to order placement and delivery.

Oversee and coordinate import activities, including policies, procedures, documentation, and shipments.

Develop purchase planning models to determine the right timing and quantity to purchase items that optimize inventory levels without impacting production.

Ensure timely and accurate documentation of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.

Cost and Budget Management:

Analyze commodity pricing trends and supply chain risks to optimize procurement decisions.

Develop plans to achieve cost and working capital reduction targets.

Track and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost savings without compromising quality.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in procurement activities.

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and financial factors.

Lead and mentor the purchasing clerk, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.

Develop or identify third party tools needed for successful execution.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify procurement needs.

Process Improvement:

Drive initiatives to streamline procurement processes and adopt innovative practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of procurement and purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications:

Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) are preferred but not required.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Knowledge of supply chain risk management and cost reduction strategies.

Working Conditions

Office‑based with occasional visits to supplier facilities.

Requires global travel for supplier reviews and factory audit.
