Procurement Supervisor
role at
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics . This position involves leading the day-to-day Procurement team duties, managing inventory targets, and supporting procurement processes to ensure material availability in support of site production goals. Responsibilities
Overall day-to-day Procurement team duties and standard work. Take ownership and uphold all corporate and site/department-specific physical and financial inventory targets while ensuring material availability in support of site production goals. Support Procurement Audits and Training requirements, provide direction to and establish policies in conjunction with Operations Procurement Manager. Direct resolution of complex problems across sub-functions and departmental lines. Drive the analysis and review of demand data to support purchasing and planning decisions both short and long term to ensure continuity of supply. Improve inventory performance and drive positive cash flow by expanding the Kanban program, adjusting safety stocks, and improving lead times. Manage vendor relationships to develop and champion characteristics of preferred suppliers. Support site freight budget management as well as other pertinent KPI’s. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years procurement experience or Master’s Degree in field with 3+ years procurement experience. Experience supporting PPV, MUV, and inventory targets. Familiarity with Oracle or similar MRP software navigation within the procurement and material management modules. Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Travel
Ability to travel as needed for special projects as assigned. Nice to have
2+ years managing people. Vendor consignment programs. Leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting the establishment of or having a working familiarity with pull systems (Kanban, etc) for raw material replenishment. Benefits
