The Inventory and ERP Specialist is responsible for managing inventory accuracy and optimizing ERP system performance to support production, warehousing, and supply chain operations. This role bridges the gap between physical inventory and digital systems, ensuring real-time data integrity and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability. Track lot codes, expiration dates, and FIFO compliance for food safety and traceability. ERP System Administration
Manage ERP transactions related to inventory, production orders, material movements, and shipping. Ensure data accuracy and timely entry of receipts, issues, and adjustments. Support ERP configuration and updates related to inventory and production modules. Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot ERP issues and implement improvements. Reporting & Analysis
Generate and analyze inventory reports, usage trends, and variances. Provide insights to support purchasing, production planning, and customer fulfillment. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory compliance. Training & Support
Train warehouse and production staff on ERP procedures and inventory best practices. Develop SOPs and user guides for ERP-related workflows. Serve as the point of contact for ERP-related inventory questions and support. Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in inventory control, utilizing ERP systems, in food manufacturing. Strong understanding of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF) and traceability requirements. Experience with ERP platforms, PowerCentral (Highly Preferred). Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible hours or weekends during inventory counts or system upgrades. Benefits
