Parker Meggitt (Securaplane) a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high‑temperature cables. Located in Oro Valley, AZ, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier of camera systems, energy storage products, and security systems in aerospace markets. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron, among others.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction ☒ Does Not Have Direct Reports

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards

Participates in gathering statistical data from product and processes

Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies and subassemblies

Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC‑A‑610 standards, and harness assemblies.

Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items

Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues

Maintains Inspection records

Creates & reviews First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) IAW AS9102

Performs Customer source inspection

Issues Authorized Release Certificates/Tags

Maintains Calibration recall and records

Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation.

Other responsibilities as assigned

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Physical Requirements

Approximately 75% sitting and 25% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.

Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.

Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf.

Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.

Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.

Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces

Typing with computer and keyboard

Qualifications

Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision

Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues

Skilled at using measuring equipment as prescribed by job assignment

Must have knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, wiring diagrams and be able to add tolerances using decimals, etc.

Technical knowledge of Aerospace standards for First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102

Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches

Read, write and understand English.

Read technical drawings with multiple views.

Education & Experience

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field beneficial

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred)
