$22.92-$25.47/hour (base pay range $23.00/hr - $25.00/hr) Mission:

The Lead Program Coordinator (LPC) will oversee delivery of the range of youth programs at James River Club. The LPC will supervise and train program staff and develop and implement a program schedule focused on Academic Success, Health & Well-being, Character & Leadership, and Life & Workforce Readiness. The LPC will build strong relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders to ensure we meet the needs of youth and families. The LPC will lead the Club in the Unit Director\'s absence and support emergency procedure protocols. Essential Responsibilities
Plan and oversee Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes Flexibly design programs based on youth interests and community needs, inclusive of gender, age, and diverse interests Integrate BGCA programs into regular program delivery for members Evaluate Club programs on an ongoing basis Establish and maintain program goals and safe, developmentally appropriate settings Ensure staff understand and communicate program standards and maintain safe, developmentally appropriate environments Participate in BGCCVA\'s Youth Program Quality Team Manage program and activity expenditures within approved budget Design meaningful recognition schedules at program and Club levels Manage Club operations in the absence of the Unit Director Supervise part-time staff in developing programs across Academic Success, Health & Well-being, Character & Leadership, and Life & Workforce Readiness Conduct onboarding for new staff and volunteers; re-train veteran staff as needed Maintain proper record keeping and reporting for program quality and grant reporting Oversee special programs and/or events Drive Club vehicles as needed Consult with parents/guardians regarding member and Club issues Maintain external communications with community groups, schools, and families as needed Support a human-centered organizational culture and related systems Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
At least five years\' experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on youth development needs Prior management experience preferred Strong oral and written communication Group leadership and understanding of group dynamics Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities Physical requirements include moderate activity in training and program participation Education And Certifications
Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent required Four-year degree in related field, or equivalent experience, preferred CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire Valid driver’s license for 3 years required Physical Requirements And Work Conditions
Ability to stand for long periods Exposure to indoor and outdoor work environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels Ability to maintain visual and auditory supervision of youth Willingness to drive the Club vehicle Equal Opportunity Employer:
