Associate Production Manager – University of Southern California
Full‑time Associate Production Manager (APM) will co‑supervise the School of Dramatic Arts production department, report directly to the Production Manager and independently manage graduate and extra‑curricular theatre productions.
Responsibilities
Co‑supervise and independently manage graduate and extra‑curricular theatre productions.
Assist with departmental issues, scheduling, budget accountability, and policy development.
Direct staff and student workers and supervise operation of one or more theatre studios/laboratories.
Provide advanced studio/laboratory technical expertise to faculty, staff and students.
Oversee procurement, budget and procurement accountability. May manage extra‑curricular events.
Qualifications
BA/BFA in Theatre (Stage Management or Production Management) or equivalent experience.
7+ years progressively responsible experience in performing or visual arts.
Expert knowledge of theatre production, operations and procedures.
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Typing, computer literacy (Microsoft & Google Suites) and valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with standard Actor’s Equity Association stage‑management practices.
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Theatre or related field.
10 years’ experience.
Compensation Salary range: $82,000 – $87,000 depending on experience.
Estimated 40–50 hour work week. Position exempt from overtime.
