Overview This position entails planning, coordination, and management of activities related to physical inventory requirements in the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Centers (DC). Responsibilities include forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, creating and issuing purchase orders, supplier relationship management, and other activities to optimize the flow of product into and between Chick-fil-A Supply DCs. The role interfaces with suppliers, DC leaders, Finance, and other Supply Chain teams and will support multiple distribution centers. The staff member is expected to work independently and partner with the Chick-fil-A Supply leadership team to improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective supply chain management methods and strategies. This role will participate in building a robust inventory planning organization responsible for inventory forecast and supply planning for 15 DCs by the end of 2026 that distribute products to 50% of Chick-fil-A restaurants. Responsibilities Create and execute inventory strategies and purchasing procedures to ensure proper inventory quantities are purchased to consistently achieve service level objectives and minimize obsolescence Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner Coordinate forecasts and inventory levels with the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Supply Chain team and other cross-functional teams Support and address nation-wide DC operations as needed related to product availability and inbound supply Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet quality, service, and price standards Manage and complete time-sensitive invoice reconciliation activities Manage inventory exceptions daily to ensure high service levels for restaurants and optimal inventory levels across all DCs Collaborate with inbound transportation and understand the logistics process to ensure suppliers and carriers meet Chick-fil-A Supply requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience in a demand planning or inventory management role General understanding of inventory management practices and procedures Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge Experience analyzing large data sets using analytical techniques Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to learn a new business quickly and apply relevant experience Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Knowledge of basic procurement and transportation practices Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in analytics or statistical modeling 5+ years of experience in demand planning or inventory management Experience building reports/analyses on large data sets using analytical tools (e.g. Excel, JMP, SAS, Tableau) Intermediate understanding of SQL or scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) Experience with ERP, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management systems Additional Details Minimum Years Of Experience: 2 Travel Requirements: 10% Required Level Of Education: Bachelor\'s Degree Major/Concentration: Required – Business, Supply Chain, Engineering; Preferred – Analytics or Statistical Modeling
