The Senior Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for building accurate SKU-level demand forecasts, establishing supply plans, and managing inventory levels to meet customer and business objectives. This role bridges demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure service levels, profitability, and efficient inventory utilization. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Sourcing, Distribution, Finance, and Account Support to balance customer demand with supplier and operational constraints. The position requires advanced analytical skills, business acumen, and leadership potential to drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, inventory productivity, and supply continuity. The individual will have an opportunity to move into leadership in 1-3 years if successful and has the desire to lead. What You’ll Do
Create, document, and maintain demand SKU-level forecasts aligned with supply for long-range planning. Reconcile differences between macro business plans and SKU-level forecasts. Partner with Sales, Merchandising, and customers to develop assortment and demand plans. Monitor and measure forecast accuracy and volatility. Diagnose root causes of inaccuracy, poor service levels, and excess/obsolete inventory; use results to improve forecasting processes. Analyze and distribute weekly and monthly demand reports with insights to cross-functional teams. Collaborate to deliver against demand forecast and financial expectations; monitor demand through the value chain from forecast to delivery and take actions to minimize risks and maximize opportunities. Establish and maintain 12-month rolling supply plans with supplier and distribution constraints. Identify and help resolve supply constraints that impede achievement of the demand plan. Recommend safety and cycle stock policies by SKU segment to balance inventory with service goals; maintain SKU classification and policies for continuous improvement. Quantify and qualify any supply shortfall that may impact fill rate targets. Create and maintain accurate purchase orders with factories. Create and maintain choice-level SKU details. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, Business, or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in demand and/or supply planning, forecasting, or related roles. Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, VLOOKUP, Pivot, Power Query, etc.). Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, MicroStrategy, or similar). Strong knowledge of supply chain processes including forecasting, inventory management, sourcing, and distribution. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Leadership potential with mentoring or supervisory experience.
