Responsibilities
The Carpenter is responsible for performing various carpentry duties including design, construction, installation, and repair of wooden fixtures and structures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wood products. Additional duties include framing, finish work, painting, staining, monitoring subcontractor performance, troubleshooting on-site, and primary project layout and carpentry production. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with at least two (2) years of experience. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings. Skill in constructing metal framing partition walls, drywall finishing, and painting to a level 5 finish. Proficiency in computer use, preferably in a Windows-based environment. Ability to operate hand and power tools applicable to the trade. Knowledge of safety procedures and record maintenance skills. Abilities
Lifts at least 100 pounds at once and 60 pounds for extended periods. Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance. Works at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders. Performs routine physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead. Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English. Ability to recognize issues or potential problems. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and synthesize information to form conclusions. Detail-oriented with the ability to see close-range details and understand spoken information.
