Overview

UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eight 80, an exclusive apartment community (1477 total homes) located in Newport Beach, CA. As a Maintenance Technician, you will deliver first-class service to residents, aiming for customer happiness and resident retention. Responsibilities

Respond to common area and resident requests for maintenance and service by repairing and restoring service within established quality and time standards. Maintain the community’s appearance and cleanliness across grounds, amenities, building exteriors, market-ready units, interiors, breezeways, curbs, signage, leasing office, central garbage areas, parking lots, and other common areas, reporting deficiencies and safety issues immediately. Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy as directed by the Service Manager; perform tasks including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, carpet cleaning, painting, and general cleaning as necessary or directed. Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in proper working order and assist in stocking inventory. Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers. Comply with all company policies and procedures related to employment. Commit to Living the UDR Values in daily actions when executing essential functions. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary. Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Maintenance experience in multi-family, hospitality, or a similar setting Competency in residential plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and drywall Knowledge of HVAC and carpentry is a plus Customer service experience Proficiency with modern technology, including computers and smartphones Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility Education

High school or equivalent preferred EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred Career Development and Benefits
