Overview
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is an experienced sourcing professional responsible for driving complex, high-impact strategic sourcing/procurement initiatives. This role oversees all sourcing/procurement activities and processes associated with the acquisition of products, materials and services, including Fresh Food, Bakeries, Commissaries and Warabeya. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager shapes the sourcing strategy for designated categories by leading a team of sourcing professionals and cross-functional stakeholders through a structured, data-driven approach, leveraging insights to support sourcing decisions that drive significant savings. The position also mentors others, builds strategic stakeholder partnerships, manages key supplier relationships, drives multiple complex strategic sourcing events, and uses data analysis for negotiations and contract development. The role leads business conversations with senior leaders to challenge the status quo and identify best-value solutions, and is responsible for developing and implementing procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, contract lifecycle management, and supplier relationships in support of 7-Eleven’s initiatives and growth strategy. Responsibilities
Consistently engage with senior leaders and key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and goals, and align on the sourcing/procurement strategy to support goals and optimize total cost of ownership. Use data and analysis to develop insights and drive decisions to implement strategic sourcing/procurement strategies and execution plans for designated categories. Identify suppliers, execute RFQ/RFP events, analyze results, negotiate highly complex, large-value, multi-year contracts with strategic suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, reduced risk and favorable terms to drive total cost of ownership. Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Develop implementation strategies to ensure timely delivery of products/services with defined SLAs. Manage the implementation of new supplier services and mitigate risks during implementation. Understand and manage high-risk, sensitive compliance events. Serve as the go-to expert for the supported categories; solve problems by assessing data, identifying root causes, and developing solutions. Manage and balance multiple, simultaneous, and complex sourcing events and contract negotiations. Analyze market trends and external factors affecting procurement; stay current with industry developments; identify/interview potential suppliers and assess capabilities. Recommend high-impact projects for existing and emerging products/services that reduce cost and risk while improving quality. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders; provide regular progress updates. Contribute to corporate sustainability initiatives through sourcing. Manage direct reports, providing mentoring and development; coach and mentor others on sourcing standards and processes. Leadership Competencies

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required. Master’s degree preferred but not required. YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 8+ years required YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
5+ years preferred Specific Knowledge And Skills
Ability to develop complex analyses and cost models to provide key business insights and facilitate informed decision making for strategic sourcing/procurement strategies. Experience leading sourcing/procurement teams to develop category plans, execute RFx events, and conduct complex contract negotiations. Proven contract and agreement negotiation experience, managing the entire RFQ/RFP process with negotiating plans and strategies. Experience in fresh food, private label in retail, food service or retail environments, including sourcing/procurement of products in this space (strongly preferred). Proficient with MS Office; advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
