The Global Partnership Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the Global Partnership program, which prepares students for lives of significance and service through an intentional integration of faith, learning, and service in cross-cultural contexts nationally and globally. Responsibilities
Support the purpose, mission, and goals of the University and the department of University Ministries Work with the Director of University Ministries to develop vision and strategy for ministry in areas of mission and social justice Oversee, develop, and coordinate Global Partnership relationships, trips, and visits Mentor and shepherd key student leaders and staff Oversee the Global Partnership student leadership team (Trip Assistants and Global Campus Leaders) Recruit, develop and train trip Faculty, Staff and Students to be Trip Leaders and Trip Assistants Develop Partnership Trips engaging students from varying religious/spiritual backgrounds Ensure partnerships and trips align with university strategies, philosophy, and values Oversee campus-wide awareness and fundraising events Supervise the Global Partnership Interns and Global Partnerships Assistant Plan and collaborate with campus groups to advocate for partner locations and global social justice issues Collaborate with Athletics and other campus departments to facilitate department-specific trips Coordinate with International Office to ensure compliance with security protocols Help students integrate Global Partnership experiences with their spiritual journey Collaborate with undergraduate and seminary faculty on trip development and mission vision on campus Collaborate with Covenant Department of World Mission and Covenant churches globally Oversee development of program and trip budgets and fundraising Maintain records of student participation Undertake projects or responsibilities as assigned by the Director of University Ministries Requirements
Master’s degree in International Development, Christian Ministry, or equivalent 6+ years experience working with university students Ability/willingness to travel internationally and domestically Significant experience in international cross-cultural ministry; time overseas desirable Strong organizational, administrative and communication skills Demonstrated success as a leader and developer of people and ministry Personal Commitment to the Christian, urban and intercultural mission of North Park University Evidence of personal Christian faith and passion for cross-cultural ministry Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to traverse stairs and the campus at large Seniority level
