Job Summary
Responsible for the development of inspection methods and equipment needed to verify, validate, and deploy effective measurement systems that include test methodology and tolerance analysis, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and fixture design for inspection. Essential Functions
Adheres to Resolution Medical’s Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements. Foster/sustain "Voice of Quality" and "Quality 1st mindset". Develop requirements for specifying critical product requirements after collaboration with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, customers and suppliers, as required. Work directly with project teams, customer teams, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and suppliers to continuously improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of processes and product to meet or exceed project objectives. Utilize knowledge of ISO/ASME, GD&T to interpret engineering layouts, drawings, and documentation of various levels of components, assemblies, and subassemblies. Develop and use measurement methods and equipment to determine if the dimensional features of products conform to the design features. Program and use CMM, OGP, Vision systems, and form tracking systems. Troubleshoot OGP, CMM and Scanner programs and system malfunctions. Develop measurement programs for use by quality inspectors and production personnel Aid in selection and management of fixture, program, and equipment suppliers. Interact routinely with internal and external customers and suppliers to develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation Perform inspection and testing of components and assemblies for conformance to design requirements Utilize inspection measurement tools (i.e., micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators etc.) Optimize inspection methods to expedite inspections and manage equipment capacity Train colleagues / technicians/inspectors on vision system (i.e. – Micro.Vu), Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), for parts being manufactured in production Perform Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) studies to evaluate measurement methods Assure data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidate and report quality results. Identify and Report Non-conformances of product or processes. Provide support for Corrective Action investigations. Recommend and make changes to QMS procedures, SOPs, Work Instructions, and other related documents, as necessary. Performs other functions as required. Education, Experience, and Required Skills
CMM programming, Zeiss (Calypso Software) 5-10+ Years’ experience in medical device manufacturing or related industry Excellent Internal & External Customer Services Skills Strong Understanding of Manufacturing Processes Proficient in Microsoft Office FDA regulations, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 Preferred Skills
Statistical and data analysis experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop numerous times throughout the day Must have manual dexterity. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. The typical base pay range for this role is between $34.00-40.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. 401(k) Plan: Company-provided Safe Harbor Contribution of 3% of eligible earnings.
