Senior Supply & Demand Planner
will lead the end-to-end demand planning function across key accounts, product lines, and manufacturing sites. This role drives strategic forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization to support business growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The role owns the demand planning process, leads cross-functional demand reviews, develops long-range forecasts, and aligns supply strategies with commercial and operational goals. It requires strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders across Sales, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Finance, and Operations. The role contributes to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing insights and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy, reduce supply chain costs, and enhance service levels. It also leads initiatives to improve planning systems, processes, and data integrity. Primary Responsibilities Lead the development of item-level and aggregate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence. Facilitate monthly Demand Review meetings and drive consensus across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. Own and report key planning KPIs (e.g., Forecast Accuracy/MAPE, OTIF, Inventory Turns, Fill Rate) to senior leadership. Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply plans, ensuring alignment with production capacity and inventory targets. Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy through root cause analysis and process enhancements. Oversee inventory health, recommending actions to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving stock. Manage the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely PO execution and supplier delivery performance. Support product launches, promotions, and end-of-life planning with robust demand and supply strategies. Lead system and process improvements, including enhancements to SAP, Excel-based models, and BI tools. Mentor junior planners and contribute to talent development within the planning function. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or APICS certification preferred. Minimum 6+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably in food & beverage or CPG. Advanced proficiency in planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, supply chain principles, and S&OP best practices. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
