Project Officer Level II

with construction experience in the

New York, NY

area. The ideal candidate has

at least 5 years

of experience as a project manager in construction, with at least

2 years

managing all phases of similar-scale projects, and resides in New York, NY or nearby. New York, NY . Responsibilities

Coordinate activities for design and construction of complex or high-profile projects under senior supervision. Ensure quality, performance, and compliance standards are met by all involved parties. Make timely decisions and take actions to ensure project progress. Address design and construction errors early to prevent extensive issues. Duties

Manage project phasing, scheduling, and monitor progress to ensure timely and within-budget completion. Interface regularly with contractors, school personnel, and senior project staff. Contribute to the development and review of project policies and procedures. Guide and advise lower-level project officers. Resolve issues from field reports, technical inspections, and management staff. Collaborate with architects and engineers on change orders, contract interpretation, and technical matters. Enforce contract compliance through directives and field memoranda. Make on-site change order decisions and negotiate with contractors. Review claims and disputes, and prepare documentation for resolution. Visit job sites as needed and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or related field. Minimum five years of full-time experience in construction or related fields, with at least two managing all project phases on projects similar in scope to SCA. Strong computer skills, including MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and other construction software preferred. Fluent in English with strong communication skills. Willing to travel across New York, NY; valid driver’s license required.
