Lead IT Project Manager | Onsite 3 days a week in New York, NY Duration: 18 Month contract opportunity

We will count on you to Develop project plans and timelines and coordinate with the workstream leads and business owner. Maintain backlogs, user stories and task boards. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates, status and manage expectations.
Manage cross-functional teams, including data analyst, engineers and stakeholders ensuring collaboration and alignment towards project goals.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and develop contingency plans as needed.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.
Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking and reporting. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives.
Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as necessary to stay on track.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Conduct project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
What You Need To Have Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Problem‑Solving: Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions quickly.
Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving project objectives.
Negotiation Skills: Capable of negotiating with vendors, stakeholders, and team members to achieve project goals.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess project performance and make data‑driven decisions.
Project Management Methodologies: Proficient in IT project management methodologies, both Agile and Waterfall.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of software development processes, data management principles, methodologies and tools, Azure fundamentals, Proficiency in Jira or ADO is preferred.
Business Knowledge: Insurance/Reinsurance knowledge is a plus.
