Responsibilities Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Birmingham, Alabama office. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include: Develop project business plan Coordinate with field management to create a safety plan specific to the project Serve as the primary contact for engineers and architects Collaborate with Pre-Construction and Field teams to ensure contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements are met Create staging, logistics, and phasing plans for the project Lead subcontractor coordination Establish bonding, change order logs, and cost tracking systems Set up project in E1 and Prolog software Manage project startup activities, including permits, licenses, and mobilization Facilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization meetings Administer subcontracts and purchase orders, including payments, insurance, bonds, and safety compliance Assist in developing and updating the project schedule; attend scheduling meetings Implement and ensure compliance with the project quality control plan Conduct bi-weekly safety surveys with the superintendent Review and expedite submittals and material deliveries Maintain accurate labor forecasts and quantity updates Manage change orders for subcontractors and purchase orders Review project projections, safety documents, and schedules regularly Approve material and equipment invoices within budget Prepare payment requests and oversee collections Coordinate with city and state agencies for inspections Participate in OAC progress meetings and prepare monthly reports Update project management software with project information Oversee project close-out documentation and procedures Mentor and train assistant project managers and interns Education, Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of construction experience Proficient in Assistant Project Manager duties Experience managing various construction disciplines Knowledge of Prolog and other construction software Basic understanding of financial accounting systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Technical writing abilities Conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask effectively EOE/Vets/Disabilities
