The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for management and supervision of an effective Quality Assurance (QA) program that ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements for MCCFC's Carbon Fiber business in the Americas. Principal Accountabilities
Implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS, AS 9100/ISO 9001). This includes implementing, managing and maintaining the AS 9100/ISO 9001 QMS & certifications. Locations: Sacramento Plant, Sacramento. Analyze and report the effectiveness of QMS, provide objective evidence of achieving continuous improvement to management (Management Review). Manage the internal audit program for Quality (AS 9100/ISO 9001) and external Quality audits with third parties; align supplier evaluations and controlled documents with the corporate procurement team. Ensure compliance with all applicable industry and customer standards for certification and any third-party requirements. Implement and maintain an effective program to identify and manage risks and opportunities and improve the QMS. Implement and maintain an effective corrective action program for Quality-related issues; assist Customer Service, Sales, Shipping and Operations teams as needed to support customer requirements and company goals; interface with customers regarding quality issues and complaints. Manage nonconforming raw materials and finished products; decide acceptability, initiate corrective actions, oversee Material Discrepancy Review, and ensure proper disposition in ERP; ensure accurate ERP inventory status for nonconforming materials. Ensure quality-related information in the ERP system is updated as needed. Provide routine feedback on inspection results to the Operations Team. Develop and maintain internal manufacturing and raw materials specifications; assist Sales with customer specifications; enter and maintain specifications in ERP; manage customer Quality documents including Terms and Conditions & Quality Clauses. Sign CoC/CoA of finished products; manage concession letters for raw materials and finished products. Assist Sales & Operations with Design and MOC processes; ensure new product, specification and testing method development conforms with standards and is properly documented. Implement and deliver QMS training. Manage the QC Lab operations at the Sacramento site: direct lab technicians, establish testing procedures, perform in-process inspections, maintain SPC and process capability information, lead process improvements, ensure ERP updates with inspection results, and maintain safety and calibration compliance. Ensure confidentiality of all company proprietary information; maintain professional conduct and contribute to a safe, collaborative work environment. May be assigned related duties by management and follow safety rules and regulations. Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, Quality Management or related technical field. 10+ years' experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance in a chemical or process manufacturing environment. 5+ years' supervisory experience. Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, particularly ISO, required. Prior knowledge and experience with AS9100 required. Knowledge of TS16949 (automotive quality standard) is a plus. Knowledge and experience with statistical process control methods and tools preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and leadership skills. Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $145,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
