Job Responsibilities The Reproductive Health Assistant (RHA) I performs duties similar to a medical assistant, including maintaining records, performing routine clerical tasks, basic lab work, and responding to patient inquiries, under supervision of the Health Center Manager.
Essential Functions
Provide care to patients and respond to their needs
Support staff during patient visits
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients and staff
Uphold principles of respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered care
Complete required training within three months to meet proficiency standards
Participate in quality assurance and organizational efforts
Assist in inventory management and equipment maintenance
Provide information on family planning and related services
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands Regular sitting, standing, walking, and communication; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and assisting with patient movement.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or HSE required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred
Experience in family planning, medical labs, or counseling preferred
Familiarity with electronic health records preferred
Personal Qualities
Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills
Culturally inclusive and respectful communication, bilingual skills helpful
Team-oriented with organizational skills
Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; ability to travel as needed
