Phlebotomist II – Montebello, CA
Location : Montebello, CA
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends.
Pay : $23.70 – $28.29 per hour. Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
Administer oral solutions according to established training.
Research test/client information and confirm all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required following corporate policies.
Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport) as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient facing duties (inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email).
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
Complete online and in‑person training courses in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
Phlebotomy Experience : Three years required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/Data Entry Experience .
Availability : Flexible and available based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime).
Transportation : Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Training : Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy Certification : Preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Additional Requirements : Ability to effectively communicate in English.
