OSF Healthcare St. Francis is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing cardiac surgery program in Peoria, IL.This program performs a vast variety of cardiac surgery cases including CABG, valves, aneurysms, mechanical circulatory support, LVADs and heart transplantation with just under 300 cases per year.The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as first assist and be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting.However, we would be willing to accept an eager new graduate who is motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment. Full time day shift 7:30am-4:00pm 3-4 advanced practice providers will share call (overnight weekdays and weekends) Call 1:5 Call responsibilities include coverage for OR, inpatient rounds, and consults as well as calls from the after-hours call center. Work directly with 3 surgeons and other advanced practitioners Operating room duties include first assisting, endoscopic vein harvest, and endoscopic radial harvest.Procedures also include insertion of invasive lines and chest tube placement. Will work on the floor, do consults, work in clinic and OR with some ICU coverage 1 day of clinic a week

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics. BLS/ALS Certified Experience is preferred however; new graduates will be considered.
