R & D Patient Engagement Country Lead Location:

The R&D Patient Engagement Lead ensures patient engagement is implemented in key countries to drive differentiation, acceleration, awareness and access of our clinical trials. They support the creation of the Patient Disease Strategy (PDS) by integrating patient insights and perspectives locally, focusing on both forward translations to Global Project Teams and back translations from Global to local levels into tangible strategies. This role extends beyond traditional patient insights generation and clinical trial operations by aligning the PDS at the local level. This position ensures local stakeholders are aligned with the PDS, including the engagement strategy, while considering Regulatory Policy, Clinical Operations and payer value implications. It includes verticalization of local patient pathways and patient-relevant business insights to inform the PDS, the Clinical Development Plan, the Integrated Patient Journey (IPJ) and clinical trial designs so that local country perspectives are embedded early and effectively. Responsible for the development and oversight of patient advocacy R&D collaborations at local levels, connected to the global strategy across a multi-therapeutic portfolio Align with local and/or global Public Affairs (PA) regarding the strategic intent and plans for each local Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Be strategic and transparent across local and global stakeholders to maximize engagements, including PA and Medical Affairs in patient meetings Foster mutual benefit between Sanofi and PAGs at the indication level with positive customer experience reflected in surveys Deliver local differentiation, acceleration, awareness and access goals for each program/indication/clinical trial and reflect in the PDS Accelerate clinical trials or programs through collaborations, e.g., use Patient Experience Data to optimize study design and integrate PED into regulatory strategy Document objectives and expected outcomes of each collaboration at the start of engagement efforts and in the PDS Leverage digital and data opportunities within patient advocacy groups Work toward achieving annually defined PQS survey results showing high partner rating of Sanofi R&D activities Collaborate to accelerate clinical trials with Clinical Study Units (CSU) for measurable impact Work with peers in other countries and Health Value Translation (HVT) Leads to perform patient data/PDS gap analyses and address knowledge needs for each indication Leverage digital opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate deliverables Ensure local TVP/TPP/iEGP reflect local patient priorities Translate local insights to ensure patient preference informs endpoint and outcomes measurement selection Act as the main contact to HVT and Clinical Outcomes Assessment teams to define meaningful patient insights from the country to increase asset value as reflected in the PDS Create the local Integrated Patient Journey (IPJ) for each indication Identify and integrate local Real World Evidence (RWE) data opportunities into the PDS Identify clinical trial innovations with a strong focus on patient-centric digital strategies and work cross-functionally to integrate/adopt The R&D Patient Engagement Country Lead is also expected to: Take on leadership opportunities to evolve the role and integrated patient engagement objectives Participate in cross-functional external patient-centric initiatives (e.g., PFDD, IMI, TransCelerate, PALADIN) to shape the broader R&D patient-centric ecosystem Leverage external trends and policies in development Work with Public and Corporate Affairs, Ethics & Business Integrity to stay informed of regional regulations Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver internal/external webinars and publications on Sanofi’s R&D IPE achievements Assist with management of innovation projects being piloted About You Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D. in life sciences/health-related field or PharmD with at least 5 years of experience in patient-centric, public affairs or advocacy organizations Proven leadership and collaboration skills, portfolio planning, effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving, training, multi-tasking and change management Proficiency in Office tools, public speaking, and interest in AI solutions Ability to implement innovations requiring stakeholder influence and management Global team member who can accommodate flexible working hours Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, clinical development, clinical operations, patient advocacy and healthcare systems within the local region Why Choose Us?
